Rainbow City Taxis (the trading name of Rainbow Cars Ltd) was originally established in 1984 and has one of Scotland’s largest Hackney taxi fleets with 290 vehicles. The company controls 5 of Aberdeen’s best known taxi telephone numbers from their state of the art call centre in Aberdeen. The company has recently won the franchise to provide the taxi service at Aberdeen Airport and also have an IT division which specialises in all Microsoft Office products training and development needs. Anderson Anderson & Brown were appointed as auditors and tax advisers to Rainbow Cars Ltd in 1999 when the company was formed to buy the trading assets of the business that previously ran the taxi fleet. The client partner, Robbie Gordon, has advised the company on a number of acquisitions it has made in the taxi trade in Aberdeen which take it to its current position as the largest provider of taxis in the city.
