Aberdeen Football Club held their Inaugural Youth Development Fundraising Dinner, sponsored by Anderson, Anderson and Brown on Friday 23rd April 2004. Comedian Bill Copeland and former Celtic. Hibernian and Scotland player Murdo McLeod provided the entertainment, while there were also some words of wisdom from Scotland U21 Coach, Rainer Bohnhof.

The dinner was a huge success with over ?12,000 raised for the youth development programme. Many thanks must go to the corporate sales team for their help on the night, and also to the winners of our auc­tion who contributed over ?6,000 to the overall total. Our special thanks go to Atholl Cadger of Rollstud. Mike Brown and Robbie Gordon from A2B, Colin Smith at Expro and Murray Duguld for their support of the auction.

We hope to make the dinner an annual event and sponsors Anderson, Anderson & Brown had a fantas­tic evening and have already pledged to sponsor next year's dinner. Our thanks go to them for their sup­port of our youth programme and all the others who contributed by taking tables at the event. We hope to see them all back next year.
